REOCCURRING EVENTS

Exhibition Nights

- Friday and Saturday Evenings at the End of Each Quarter -

Exhibition is the student’s night to show what they have created and to celebrate their achievements each quarter. The students’ work is a creative process that takes time to accomplish and we want a place and time for it to be displayed for others to enjoyed and admired. In the adult world, we get a project or assignment in our places of work and home and we need to accomplish it by a certain date. We typically finish this project to be shown to clients, coworkers, supervisors, or other interested parties. Our success at work and in life depends on our timely and appropriate accomplishments. So if we want to prepare students to be effective in the real world, why not mimic this in the classroom? Exhibition should be attended by all who wish to participate but especially those from the community who have contributed to the projects and the persons most interested in the success of the student, namely their family.

Chinese New Year Feast

- Thursday, February 1st -

During our Asian studies quarter, we are going to hold a Chinese New Year Feast.

Parent Collaboration Night

- Fourth Thursday of Every Month From 7:00-8:30pm -

Our Parent Collaboration Nights are a great opportunity to support the parents as the main mentors and to coordinate projects and community connections. Parents who attend will see what their student(s) are doing and will learn about opportunities for how to be involved.

Thanksgiving Feast

- Monday, November 21st -

We will hold a Thanksgiving Feast for all classes. Core will attend this day since Thanksgiving Break starts on their normal Wednesday class.

Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

- Thursday, May 3rd -

To finish up the Core class’s reading of Lewis Carol’s “Alice in Wonderland” during our studies of Victorian England, the students will get to participate in a special tea party. The Queen of Hearts might even attend!
