Honeybee Nature School, Ogden, UT
This year, we have been consulting with Honeybee Nature School as they expand their Homeschool support program. Honeybee is the first fully outdoor pre-K and kinder program in the state of Utah, established in 2015. They have been striving to provide the experiences necessary for the honeybees to deeply connect with themselves, each other and their environment through child-led play. We are excited to be part of their program and vision!
As 100s of families have come to expect from Knox Academy, Knox classes will continue to be focused on student-led and project-based learning. Students in Knox classes will continue to learn by creating and collaborating together within a global-focused context and are given freedom to choose and chase their passions.
But our partnership with Honeybee Nature School will also continue Knox’s other goals of nature, with it’s power to teach and heal; and community connections, with amazing partnerships with small businesses and community members in Ogden like the Monarch, 9th Muse Academy of Art, Ogden City Library’s makerspace, an urban farm, Oasis community gardens, and Horse’s Valhalla.
